Terms.
These are the terms for websites built by autoMachina Studios (Jeffrey Ortiz, NYC / NJ). They're written to be read, not skimmed past. If anything is unclear, ask before you pay.
1. Packages and prices
Starter $450, Full site $900, Studio $2,000. You can pay once, or pay monthly: $75, $150 or $350 a month for 6 payments. The prices on the homepage when you send your form are the prices you get.
2. Deposit
- Pay once: 50% to start, 50% before launch.
- Pay monthly: your first monthly payment is the deposit.
- Nothing is charged on the intake form. After I review your form, I send a secure payment link (Stripe). Work starts once the deposit is paid.
- The deposit is non-refundable once I've started your first draft, because that work is already done. If I can't take on your project, you're never charged.
3. Timeline
I reply to every form within 48 hours. Your full first draft is ready within 3 business days after your deposit is paid and your form is complete. If content is missing (photos, prices, text), the timeline starts when it arrives.
4. Revisions
Revision rounds depend on your package: Starter 1, Full site 2, Studio 3. A round is one batch of notes sent together. Extra rounds, new pages or new features after the draft are quoted before I do them.
5. Launch
When you approve the site, it goes live on your domain. If you pay once, the remaining 50% is due before launch.
6. Monthly plan
- 6 monthly payments in total. The first is your deposit, and the rest are billed monthly.
- During the plan, your site is hosted by me and stays live while payments are current.
- If a payment is more than 7 days late after a reminder, the site goes offline until it's caught up.
- You can pay off the remaining balance at any time.
- After the 6th payment, the site is yours.
7. Ownership
Once your site is fully paid, the design and content of your site are yours. You keep the rights to everything you send me (photos, logos, text), and you confirm you have permission to use it. I may reuse my own general code and tools on other projects.
8. Your domain
Your domain (yourbusiness.com) is registered in your name and paid by you, usually about $10 to $20 a year. I help you buy and connect it.
9. Care plan
Optional, $50, $100 or $150 a month depending on your package. It covers hosting, security, backups and small updates (new photos, prices, hours). It starts after launch, or after your 6th payment if you pay monthly. Cancel anytime, and it stops at the end of that month. Without a care plan, I hand your site over so you can host it yourself.
10. Portfolio
I only show your site in my portfolio or on social media if you say yes.
